The Tennessee Community College Athletic Association (TCCAA) announced their latest addition to their Athletic Hall of Fame. He is Bob Martin, whoplayed at Motlow State & to this day, is still the Bucks' career leader in rebounding and blocked shots. He stands fifth all time in Motlow's history with 1,236 career points.
Martin never played basketball in high school, but developed his skills as he served in the military overseas. "I am thrilled that the conference and Motlow State have chosen me to be inducted into the Hall of Fame," said Martin. "I didn't know if I could play basketball at that level when I walked on the Motlow campus in 1974. Head Coach Joe Daves gave me a chance though, and I guess I did pretty well. I never thought my records would last this long and I am shocked to receive this honor after all these years."
Martin will be inducted on Saturday, February 10, during homecoming weekend at Motlow. The ceremony will take place between the men and women's game versus Walters State. The induction will take place upon conclusion of the men's game. TCCAA Commissioner Dr. Foster Chason will be there to present Martin with his induction plaque.
