The Tennessee Board of Regents Presidents' Athletic Council (PAC), which oversees the TennesseeCommunity College Athletic Association (TCCAA) recently announced the Council's newly elected officers. The new PAC President will be Dr. Christopher Whaley, President of Roane State, the Vice President will be Dr. Tony MIksa, Presient of Walters State Community College; and the Treasurer will be Dr. Michael Torrence, President of Motlow State Community College. Each were unaminously elected by their PAC peers. The Presidents' Athletic Council oversees th e overall operations of the TCCAA including the Conference Policies and Procedures Manual. Each of the newly elected officers will serve a two-year term.
For the past four years the TCCAA has been led by Dr. William Seymour, President of Cleveland State Community College; Dr. Tracy Hall, President of Southest Tennessee Community College as Vice President; and Hilda Tunstill/Dr. Michael Torrance, Interim President and President of Moylow State Community College as Treasurer. Durinf those four years, the TCCAA experienced growth with the addition of Volleyball, Soccer, Cross Country, and Golf being added at various institutions, Most significantly, the TCCAA experienced higher graduation rates, increases in teh number of NJCAA Academic All Americans, growth in the number TCCAA All Academic Awards, NCAA Division I transfer signees as well as overall four year university transfers.
