Saturday was the beginning of the TCCAA/NJCAA Region VII Tournament.  Playing games as the higher seed locations, the top seeds in the #4 and #5 games held serve as Southwest Tennessee women defeated Columbia State 65-62 while the Roane State men came back from a second half deficit to defeat chattanooga State 62-54.

With their wins, the quarterfinal rounds are set for Tuesday, April 6.  In the women's tournament, West #1 Jackson State will host  #4 Southwest Tennessee and #2 Volunteer State will host Dyersburg State with game timmes set for 6 p.m. CST.  The East #1 Walters State will host #4 Roane State at 5:30 p.n. while #2 Cleveland State will host #3 Chattanooga State at 6 p.m. EST.

The men's side will have the #1 West Columbia State playing host to #4 seed Volunteer State and #2 seed Southwest Tennessee hosting #3 seed Dyersburg State with games times set for 6 p.m. CST.  East #1 Motlow State will host #4 seed Roane State at 6 p.m. CST while #2 seed Walters State will host #3 seed Cleveland State at 7:30 p.m. EST.

The winners of these contests will meet Thursday, April 8, at the higher seed with game times TBA.
