The TCCAA honored student athletes on the conference's institutions as they presented the All Conference teams for te 2019 on Monday afternoon at Dave Hall Field during this year's NJCAA Region VII Tournament. The conference announced awards for both the first and 2nd team as well as special individual awards during the ceremony. The awards were merited on a vote of the league coaches. Dr. Foster Chason, Commissioner of the TCCAA, and Dr. Janet Smith, President of Columbia State, handed out the awards.
The Walters State Senators were the first to receive their trophy for claiming the regular season championship.
Then, the All Conference 2nd team was announced. Recipients were infielders Bass Cooper & Ty Delancey and designated hitter Jacob Holton of Chattanooga State, outfielders Lance Dockery and Tucker Mendenhall of Cleveland State, pitcher Jonathan Alexander and outfielder Christian Martin of Dyersburg State, infielder D. J. Wright of Jackson State, infielder Sam Stohr and pitcher Logan Walters of Motlow State, relief pitcher Nate Payne of Roane State, and catcher Zeke Lecomte and pitcher Cory Wilson of Volunteer State.
Selected to the the first team were outfielder Sean Cheely, infielder Noah Fitzgerald, and pitcher Landon Walker of Chattanooga State, catcher Alex Carignan of Columbia State, outfielder Evan Gilliam and infielder Drew Reckert of Dyersburg State, relief pitcher Dallas Bryan and pitcher Kobe Foster of Motlow State, outfielder Theron Powell of Roane State, and infielders Brayden Combs & Jerry Hammons, designated hitter Bryce Hodge, outfielder Braydon Runion, and pitcher Cory Stone of Walters State.
To conclude the announcement, awards were give to pitcher, player, and coach of the year. Alex Haynes of Walters State was named Pitcher of the Year. Player of the Year nod went to Noah Fitzgerald of Chattanooga State. David Shelton then was awarded as Coach of the Year.
