MOTLOW REACHES ELITE EIGHT AT NATIONAL TOURNAMENT; WALTERS FALLS IN FIRST GAME

The Motlow State Bucks made the trip to Hutchinson, Kansas an exciting one as they were able to reach the Elite Eight of "The Tournament."  They would see thir season end against Easter Florida State by a 65-45 final.  Walters State had also qualified as a zone qualifier, but would fall to Gillette College 83-61 in the opening round.

In the Bucks first round game, they would defeat Coffeyville by a 78-59 margin.  Isaiah Hart would lead the team with 24 points while Javion Hamlet would also reach double figures with 15.  Hamlet would hand out eight assists and Hart would be right behind with six.  Kevonte Corley would lead the team with 11 rebounds.

They would edge Georgia Highlands in the round of sixteen by a 70-69 final.  Motlow would place four players in double figures led by Hamlet with 24.  Rashawn Fredericks would be next with 14.  Aleksander Zevecic and Hart would finish with 11 and 10 points.  Hamlet and Fredericks would lead with four assists.  Corley would again lead with ten boards with Zevecic right behind with nine.

In the Eastern Florida lost, no Buck would reach double digits in the contest.  Hart and Hamlet would be the top scorers with nine and seven points, repsectively.  Hamlet would have four assists and Fredericks would grab seven rebounds to lead the team.

In the Walters contest, Gillette would outscore the Senators 47-26 in the second half to run away with the game.  Malik McConnell would lead with 14 points followed by Ricky Dunnaway with 12 points.  Chase nappier would score ten off the bench.  McConnell would hand outfive assists and Dunnaway would have seven rebounds to lead the team.  

Motlow would finish the season with a 30-5 record while Walters would end up 24-7.  Isaiah Hart was named to the All-Tournament team.
