VOLUNTEER STATE'S STANBERRY SELECTED NATIONAL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Vol State's George Stanberry was selected as the NJCCAA Men's Division I Basketball Player of the Week for the week of February 19-25.  In the Pioneers' two games he averaged 49.5 points per contest which included a school record versus Jackson State.  He also averaged nine rebounds a game and connected on 53.4% of his shots from the field.

The TCCAA has had back to back winners of this award as Stanberry follows Chattanooga's Roger Davis as last week's winner.
