WALTERS SEASON ENDS IN LOSS TO MIDLAND

Senator baseball saw their season come to a close as they were eliminated from the NJCAA DI World Series by Midland College 15-4.  With the loss, Walters season ends with an overall record of 53-13.

Both teams matched each other in the first inning as Midland took a 3-0 lead before Drew Blalock tied it up with a three run home run in the bottom of the frame.  Over the first five innings, Midland would build an 11-4 lead before putting the game away with four runs in the top of the eighth inning.

The Senators would manage seven hits in the contest with Blalock and Miles Shore each garnering two hits.  Blalock would add a single to his home rn while Shore would have a single and a double in the game.  Kole Fenton would have a double.  Kenny Cox would drive in the other run with a sacrifice fly.  Holden Pantier would score tow runs while Fenton scored once as well as Blalock with his home run.

Preston Allen (7-2) took the loss on the mound for Walters as he went one plus innings.  He faced ten batters, surrendering six runs (three earned) on three hits.  He had three walks and one strikeout.  The Senators used five pitchers in the game going eight innings.  They surrendered 15 runs, nine earned, on ten hits with seven walks, three hbp, and seven strikeouts.
