Golf names ALL TCCAA team and Player of the Year  for 25-26 season.

TCCAA announces Golfer of the Year, All-TCCAA Team

 

The Tennessee Community College Athletic Association announced its Golfer of the Year on Saturday, as well as the All-TCCAA team.

 

Roane State's Collin Keino was named the TCCAA Golfer of the Year. The award is given to the highest-ranked golfer on Clippd and is based on the fall and spring seasons. 

 

Along with Keino, Walters State's Maddox Butler and Greyson Smith, Roane State's Lennon Hill and Cleveland State's Tripp Hall were named to the All-TCCAA team. 

 

Keino was named Golfer of the Year after finishing as the No. 16 ranked golfer in NJCAA DII. Keino had a scoring average of 73, had four top 3 performances on the season and took home one win. Keino's one win came at the Atomic City Classic at Oak Ridge Country Club. 

 

On the All-TCCAA Team, Butler finished the regular season as the No. 19 ranked golfer in NJCAA DII. Butler had five Top 3s and one win, in the East Tennessee Collegiate. Butler's teammate Greyson Smith was also named to the All-TCCAA team. Smith averaged a score of 74.6 per round and had one top 3 finish. He had a win as well, taking home the trophy at the Bill Gardner Fall Classic. 

 

Along with Keino, his teammate Lennon Hill made the All-TCCAA Team. Hill's average score per round was 73.7, and he had one finish in the top 3. 

 

Rounding out the team was Hall. Hall's average score per round this season was 74.5, and he finished in the top 10 three times. His best finish was a fourth-place result at the Atomic City Classic. 

 

The four TCCAA teams will meet at the Ooltewah Club on Monday for the TCCAA/Region 7 Championship. They will then have a few weeks off before reconvening on April 27-28 for the NJCAA DII Southeast District Golf Tournament at the Country Club in Morristown, TN. The top two teams and top three individuals from the District Tournament advance to the NJCAA DII Championship in Plymouth, IN.
