ROANE, VOLUNTEER UNDEFEATED AFTER CONFERENCE WEEKEND

With the first week of conference play concluded over the weekend, both Roane State and Volunteer State remain undefeated.  Roane took doubleheader swweps over both Jackson (7-6, 14-1) and Columbia (11-9, 14-1) while Volunteer swept Motlow (14-3, 15-5).

Walters was right behind them as they went 3-1 on the weekend with a split with Southwest Tennessee (10-9, 16-6) and a sweep of Dyersburg (7-0, 15-7). 

Southwest Tennessee, Cleveland, and Dyersburg finished the weekend at .500 with 2-2 records.  After the split with Walters, Southwest would split a doublheader with Pellissippi, winning the first one 13-12 and losing the second by a 9-8 final. Dyersburg would sweep Pellissippi on Friday by 10-2 & 12-2.  Cleveland would split their doublheaders with Columbia winning the first 17-9 and losing 9-1 in the second game.  They would the first game against Jackson 13-7 before losing in the nightcap, 8-4.  

Chattanooga State was the odd team this weekend and didn't see action in conference play.
